Following a prolonged break from academic activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, public and private schools in Oyo State resumed today, Monday 6, 2020.
The federal government had issued a directive that all schools be part of the nationwide lockdown put in place to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
In a move that has been criticized, Oyo State governor Seyi Makinde recently announced that schools in the state will resume, and though it was delayed for a week to enable the government to put some safety measures in place, both public and private schools resumed officially today.
