In addition, three other individuals, namely Farouk Ibrahim, Clement Ojukwu, and Oluchi Opara were also restrained from acting as national officers of the party. The ruling was made by Justice Hamza Muazu on April 5, 2023, after considering an ex parte application filed by the plaintiffs in the suit marked CV/2930/2023.

The plaintiffs claimed that the defendants forged several documents of the FCT High Court to carry out unlawful substitutions during the last elections.

Consequently, the court issued an order of interim injunction to prevent the defendants from further parading themselves as national officers of the Labour Party.

Following the court order, Lamidi Apapa, the Deputy National Chairman of the LP (South), declared himself the leader of the party.

However, Alex Ejesieme, counsel to Julius Abure, prayed the court to vacate the interim order, citing the increasing division in the party since the court order. He argued that four groups in the Imo State chapter of the Labour Party held parallel primaries.

Nevertheless, the presiding judge refused to vacate the interim order and fixed April 20, 2023, for the hearing of all applications in the case. Justice Muazu also ordered all parties to ensure the speedy filing of their processes for the prompt resolution of the matter.
