The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and his wife Zeenat, have been granted leave to travel abroad to seek medical attention.
Justice Darius Khobo in his ruling on Monday ordered that the embattled IMN leader be accompanied by officials of the Kaduna State government.
El-Zakzaky and his wife are facing an eight-count charge of culpable homicide, disturbance of public peace and unlawful assembly.
They were first arraigned in May 2018. The trial is expected to resume as soon as they return from their medical treatment.
