“Twerkulator” is a song by City Girls that was supposed to be on their album City On Lock, but it didn’t make the final tracklist.
The song leaked along with the rest of the album on the day before release, but “Twerkulator” was the only song from the leak that did not make the final tracklist.
In March 2021, JT’s verse started to go viral on the social media app Tik Tok. On March 23rd, Yung Miami explained via Twitter that the sample the song was based around was unable to get cleared, hence its exclusion from the album.

However, on May 18, 2021, the City Girls announced that “Twerkulator” would finally receive an official release that Friday, May 21, likely for a deluxe version of City On Lock if it isn’t a standalone single.
