Frank Lampard and Jurgen Klopp caught the attention of fans during the epic clash between Liverpool and Chelsea. Both managers were involved in a heated exchange but Lampard’s lips were read, using foul languages.
The match ended in an eight-goal thriller as Liverpool was presented with their first league trophy in 30 years. The Blues manager was spotted on camera using a foul language at his counterpart in an incident involving players from either side.
Matteo Kovacic tackled Sadio Mane as referee Andre Marriner blew the whistle for a free-kick as Lampard and Klopp clashed on the sidelines. The inaudible exchanges was captured on camera by Sky Sports as Lampard was left furious telling Klopp to sit down. “No, no, I’ll stand up. Sit down you f***ing [inaudible].” Klopp did not relent as he challenged the Blues boss and Lampard did not hold anything back as he responded to the German boss again.
“Only title you’ve ever won and you’re f***ing giving it the big, f*** off! “I’ve had enough of it. F*** off.” And Lampard was not done yet as he told Klopp again: “Stop showing disrespect, just sit down.”
The incident occurred shortly before Trent Alexander-Arnold doubled the lead for the Reds with a sublime free-kick after Naby Keita had put Klopp’s men ahead. The match ended in an eight goal thriller, but the side attractions between both managers were not left out of it. Watch the video below.
