PSV have appointed former Netherlands international Ruud Van Nistelrooy as the club’s new manager,club statement confirms. van Nistelrooy played as a striker in his playing days,the highlights of his career being at Real Madrid, Manchester United and Malaga.
The Dutchman scored 150 goals in 219 appearances for Manchester United,where he gained popularity. The 45-year-old has also been a part of Louis van Gaal’s backroom staff and will assume duties at PSV from July 1.
van Nistelrooy signed a three-year deal with Eindhoven who are delighted to have a former OnsOranje legend as their new gaffer. With such marquee signings gaining ground in the Dutch Eredivise,the league seems to be getting more recognition amongst global football fans.
