There was a big stun in the world of tennis when England female player Emma Raducanu lost to Aliaksandra Sasnovich after three sets in Roland Garros. The England ace was favourite to win the game as she is more popular than Sasnovich.
The second set was however a huge difference as a resurgent Sasnovich was now on top of her game and won the second set 6-1 going to the break, there was a lot of tension and agitation for Raducanu who became dispirited and disjointed and this caused her to lose the deciding set 6-1 to the 28-yer-old Belarusan star.
Raducanu has been British No.1 for a while and she reached a career-high at world number 11 a few months ago. The 19-year-old is seen as the next best thing to happen to English tennis and the defeat was rather shocking and dismal to a lot of her fans.
The British star has now crashed out of the French Open and she will have to wait to win a trophy in her young tennis career. The future is bright for her as she is only down but not out and fans will be eager to see her bounce back in the next couple of months. She beat Czech ace Linda Noskova in the first round, losing the first round and winning the remaining two.
