Suspected Boko haram insurgents have attacked and killed at least eight farmers and injured 15 others near Maiduguri on Saturday, according to DAILY TRUST.
The incident occurred near Molai village in Jere local government area, some 12 kilometers away from Maiduguri, the state capital.
Daily TRUST reports that a source said the attack happened at about 9:30am on Saturday morning when the insurgents attacked the farmers on their farm land.
The source said:
“As I am speaking with you now, eight persons have been confirmed dead, while 15 sustained serious injuries as a results of gun shots by insurgents who attack our people this morning on their farm land near Molai”.
