Fernandes was part of Flamengo’s title-winning squad back in 2009 Football fans on Saturday, October 5.

In 2013, Fernandes was sentenced to 22 years in prison after being found guilty for the murder of his ex-girlfriend who was seeking paternity payments after giving birth to a son who she said was the goalkeeper’s.

Bruno revealed his friends strangled the part-time model, before feeding part of her body parts to dogs and that earned him a jail term at Varginha.

The 34-year-old  was in action for his new side Pocos de Calas during a friendly clash against Independiente Juruaia  and hopes to revive his career after his release.
