Barcelona are reportedly set to beat off competition from Manchester City and Bayern Munich to land Ajax full-back Sergino Dest.
There have been rumors Barca have been keen on the 19-year-old for some time and those have ramped up in the last couple of days.
Telegraph reporter Mike McGrath has tweeted Barca will “win the race” but there’s no other details such as how they are going to afford to land the right-back. Mundo Deportivo brought news on Wednesday that Barca could bring in Dest on loan if Nelson Semedo leaves before the close of the transfer window.
Obviously finances are an issue at Barcelona right now, and so too the full-back slots, but the club aren’t doing so well at offloading players. Ivan Rakitic is the only player to have left so far.
