Nigerian pop star, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr has revealed who inspires her Fashion sense.
The rising star, who gained fame with her hit song “Sare” in 2020, said that her sense of style comes from various sources of inspiration, including her mother, aunt, and pop icon Rihanna.
Ayra Starr also revealed her plans to join the fashion industry in the future, stating that fashion was her first passion before music.
The 24-year-old singer, who considers herself the “president of miniskirts and co.,” has been known for her unique style that often features bright colors and bold patterns.
On where she got her sense of style from, she said, “It’s everywhere. You know, people inspire me. Everybody inspires me. All the baddies on the gram. All the sabi girls. Everybody; my mum, my aunty, Rihanna.”
During the interview, Ayra Starr also discussed her childhood dreams of becoming a global pop star. She shared that she knew at the age of five that music was her calling, and she has been working towards that goal ever since.
When asked about her dream collaborators, Ayra Starr named Burna Boy and Rihanna as her top picks. She expressed her admiration for the Grammy-winning artists and her desire to work with them in the future.
Ayra Starr’s music career has been on the rise since her debut EP, “Ayra Starr,” was released in January 2021. The EP, which features hit songs such as “Away” and “Ija,” received critical acclaim and earned her a spot on several international music charts. With her unique style and powerful voice, Ayra Starr is poised to become one of Nigeria’s biggest pop stars.
