Word has it that security has been beefed up on Wednesday 11th of September around the Court of Appeal, Abuja, which is the venue of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
The tribunal is set to deliver its final judgment in the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, contesting President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory in the February election.
Security operatives have been stationed on both ends of the stretch of the road to the court. They comprise of the Nigeria Police, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps.
Journalists and lawyers who arrived at the location were subjected to security checks before being granted access to the court.
