The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubarkar, has returned to Nigeria after spending days in the United Kingdom.
It was reported how the party’s candidate travelled to London where he met with officials of the UK government.
Atiku attended the meeting alongside Bukola Saraki, former senate president; Aminu Tambuwal, Sokoto governor, and Udom Emmanuel, governor of Akwa Ibom, among others.
While abroad, there were speculations that Abubakar was in the UK country to seek medical attention but the PDP presidential campaign council debunked the reports.
The council said the former vice-president was in the UK at the invitation of the British government.
Atiku’s arrival was announced on the Twitter page of former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, on Thursday.
In the post Atiku was seen in company with Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel; Sokoto Governor, Aminu Tambuwal; former Kogi senator, Dino Melaye; former National PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus; erstwhile aviation minister, Osita Chidoka; and former Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
The post was captioned, “The Next President of Nigeria (God willing) is back in Nigeria after a most successful trip to the UK.”
