Young Midfielder Insists No Issues Exist Despite Limited Starts Under Ancelotti
Real Madrid’s rising star, Arda Guler, has dismissed speculation of any friction between him and manager Carlo Ancelotti regarding his playing time this season. The 19-year-old Turkish midfielder, who has largely been used as a substitute, addressed the rumors during a press conference, making it clear that there are no issues with the Italian coach.
“There are no problems between me and Carlo Ancelotti at all. I’m getting more minutes this year,” Guler stated, as reported by football journalist Fabrizio Romano. Despite his desire to feature more prominently, the young player acknowledged that wanting to play every match is a natural feeling for any footballer.
“Of course, I want to play every game… but that’s normal. Everything is fine. No problems,” Guler added.
While Guler has yet to establish himself as a regular starter for Los Blancos this season, his comments suggest a positive relationship with Ancelotti and an understanding of the competitive nature of earning playing time at one of Europe’s top clubs.
