Tekashi 6ix9ine, the popular American rapper, has been admitted to a hospital in South Florida after he was assaulted by a group of unidentified individuals while at an LA Fitness gym.
The incident reportedly occurred in the sauna area of the gym, where three or four men attacked the rapper and beat him up, despite his attempts to defend himself.
According to Tekashi’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, who spoke to Variety about the incident, the rapper sustained cuts to his face and bruises during the attack.
Lazzaro further revealed that the attackers fled the scene immediately after the incident, upon hearing the noise caused by the altercation.
Upon learning of the incident, the police in South Florida were immediately contacted, and Tekashi, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was rushed to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
He is currently receiving medical attention for his injuries.
The motive behind the attack remains unknown at this time, and investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for the assault.
