Nollywood star Ini Edo has been appointed the Special to the Akwa Ibom State Governor Emmanuel Udom on Tourism Development.
The actress is set to empower more than a hundred women across Africa in digital skills as she has commenced an empowerment programme for young women.
According to Ini Edo, the programme is designed to assist leading female entrepreneurs in advancing economic empowerment in today’s evolving digital space.
She made this known during the maiden edition of the programme where she addressed the beneficiaries in Akwa Ibom.
The training session started with opening speeches and it featured experienced tutors from renowned training centres in the country.
The young ladies were taken through an intense and exciting training session on digital marketing in the programme which will continue online after which the participants will be awarded certificates alongside tools to aid them to start a career in digital marketing.
