Accountant Arraigned For Stealing 1.4 Million And Setting Office Ablaze In Lagos

37-year-old account officer  identified as  Thadius has been arrested and arraigned to Ikeja Magistrates’ court  on Thursday for stealing 1.4 million and setting office ablaze.

Thadius had been charged with a threat to damage, stealing and attempted arson.

According to reports,the prosecutor, Sergeant Felicia Okwori had  told the court that the defendant committed the offences on September 25 at Sweet Sensation Office located at Olowora, Ojodu Berger, Lagos State.

According to the prosecutor, he had  stolen  the N1.4 million belonging to Sweet sensation Fast Foods  after set the financial controller’s office ablaze.

The offences were said to contravene the provisions of Sections 343, 342, 344 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The court however granted Thadius a bail in the sum of N100, 000 bails with two sureties in like sum adding that the sureties must be employed, with evidence of two years tax payment to the Lagos State Government.

The case was adjourned to November 20.
