Honourable Nalado Muhammad, the national chairman of Accord party, has dissolved the party’s Oyo state executive committee due to “anti-party activities and gross misconduct.”
In a letter addressed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday, Nalado announced the decision was made at an emergency meeting of the National Working Committee held at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
Nalado clarified that the party has no alliance with Governor Seyi Makinde, stating that the party’s governorship candidate in Oyo State is Adebayo Adelabu. The party has appointed a caretaker committee, led by Mr Isiaka Salami, to oversee the party’s affairs until a state congress is held. The other members of the caretaker committee are Mr Fatai Salawu, Mrs Bimpe Martins, Mr Ayodele Oyajide, and Mr Bashiru Ayobami, who will serve as the secretary.
