The deal will see Yemi Alade partner with Universal Music Africa as the latter will become her exclusive worldwide recorded music partner. Her record label, Effyzie Music Group, and Universal Music France will be the international roll-out partner for the project.
Yemi Alade just dropped the video for her Home song and is looking to push her successful music career even further with the lucrative deal.
Olivier Nusse, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music France said the female artist’s impact on Africa and even world pop music was undeniable, adding that they would support the project.
It is a real opportunity for Universal Music to have the confidence of such an artist. Her talent and impact on African and even world pop music are undeniable, and it is with great humility but even more ambition that we will support this project, with the help of other subsidiaries.
Africa is more present than ever on the world music scene, and Universal Music Group through such a partnership, confirms its ambitions, but also its leadership.Olivier Nusse – pulse.ng
