Disney is reportedly considering offering Hailee Steinfeld a lead role in Marvel’s upcoming Hawkeye series at Disney Plus.
The series will feature actor Jeremy Renner’s return to reprise the role of the skilled archer from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Steinfeld’s joining the series means she would play Kate Bishop, a Marvel Comics character who took up the mantle after Clint Barton (Renner). Bishop is also a member of the group known as Young Avengers.
A news report last week confirmed that Jonathan Igla will write and also serve as executive producer of the series.
Hailee Steinfeld is an American actress, singer, and songwriter born on December 11, 1996. Her breakthrough role in True Grit (2010) earned her a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
She voiced Gwen Tracy in the award-winning animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and starred in Bumblebee alongside wrestler and actor John Cena.
As a music artist, Steinfeld has released a series of singles and one of them, Let Me Go, a collaboration with Alesso, Florida Georgia Line and Walt reached number 14 on the Mainstream 40 Chart.
