Fresh Designs Cover Sales Pitches, Lesson Plans, and More; Full Rollout Expected by November’s End
Google is enhancing its Slides platform with a fresh set of modern templates designed to cater to diverse user needs. The tech giant announced that these professionally crafted templates aim to assist users with sales pitches, product roadmaps, lesson plans, book reports, workshop facilitation, and even “team game templates” intended to boost collaboration within corporate environments.
This update is seen as part of Google’s ongoing effort to provide users with tools that rival Microsoft’s popular Office suite and PowerPoint. Recent improvements like easier table formatting in Google Sheets and tabbed information organization in Google Docs are part of the same push to enhance productivity.
The revamped template library has begun rolling out and will reach both personal Gmail users and those on paid Workspace plans by the end of November. However, the templates are limited to users with their language set to “English (United States).” Those using settings like “English (United Kingdom)” or “English (Australia)” will not have access to the new templates for now.
To use the new templates when available, users can open Google Slides and either use the top toolbar or navigate via the “Insert > Templates” menu. This feature offers flexibility, as users can opt to insert individual slides from a template or incorporate an entire set, ensuring consistency and a polished visual theme throughout their presentations.
