Nigerian music star Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy and one half of the music duo PSquare, has publicly accused his twin brother and former bandmate, Peter Okoye, aka Mr P, of stealing a song he wrote and recorded. In a social media post on Thursday, Rudeboy alleged that Mr P’s recently released track ‘Winning’ was originally his creation.

Taking to Instagram, Rudeboy claimed that he collaborated on the song with a specific producer who then gave it to his twin brother. “Written and sang by Rudeboy. Produced by same producer. Now how come? Now am I supposed to release another version?” he wrote, expressing disbelief and frustration over the situation. He also hinted at a possible fallout with the producer, suggesting, “Mr Producer, your case is for another day.”

The accusations come in the wake of PSquare’s third split earlier this year, marking yet another chapter in the group’s turbulent relationship. Rudeboy further alleged that he had submitted six songs to their management, only to find one of them being “re-sung word for word” by his brother with the same producer. “Just a simple thing: Bring 6 songs, let me bring 6 songs. I submitted 6 songs to the so-called management. Why re-singing my own song? Word for word,” he lamented.

In an additional post on his Instagram story, Rudeboy threatened to release original versions of any of his songs that he claims have been copied. “The days of manipulation are over!! And to the management, make I hear any song wey na only me sing, I go release the original version. Oloriburuku! Music is not that hard!” he warned.
