In a significant development within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the new national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, took the helm on Tuesday as he presided over the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) meeting.
The gathering, marked by discussions of paramount importance, was held at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
On August 3, Ganduje was elected as the party’s national chairman during a national executive committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja.
A key highlight of the NEC meeting was the election of Ajibola Basiru, formerly the senate spokesperson, to the esteemed position of the party’s national secretary.
Abdullahi Ganduje’s new role marks a significant transition for the APC. He succeeds Abdullahi Adamu, who tendered his resignation from the position of national chairman in July.
This leadership alteration comes in the wake of a series of changes, as both Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore stepped down from their respective positions of APC National Chairman and National Secretary.
