Napoli is reportedly planning to part ways with their star defender Kim Min-jae. However, Manchester United would have to pay a hefty fee of €60m (£53m) to secure his services.
Kim, who is 26 years old, has had a remarkable season with Napoli, and his contributions have helped the club clinch the Serie A title last Thursday. Napoli had signed Kim from Fenerbahce last summer for just €18m (£16m). He had come in as a replacement for Kalilou Koulibaly, who left the club for Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
According to reports, Manchester United is interested in signing Kim, and they would need to pay the aforementioned sum to acquire him. Napoli is aware of the interest and is likely to accept the bid.
The Italian champions are keen on retaining their star forwards, Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and selling Kim could help them stave off interest in the duo.
In conclusion, Kim Min-jae’s move to Manchester United could be on the cards if the club is willing to pay the requested fee. Nonetheless, it remains to be seen if the deal will come to fruition.
