Oluwatobi Oyinlola: TASUED Graduate Creates Smart Pump Device For Gas Stations

Oluwatobi Oyinlola, a graduate of Telecommunications and Information Technology from the prestigious Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) has recorded a landmark Innovation by creating a smart device to regulate fuel pump.

According to Oluwatobi who is now a renowned Embedded Systems Engineer, the device works with a micro processor, a cortex ARM, which is locally designed to work with a GSM modem. It’s a miniature design that can be improvised into a more compact size.

The smart pump device will check sales of fuel at regular intervals – daily, weekly or monthly. These are safe records that cannot be compromised as the device will send a signal to the web if anyone tries to manipulate the records of the device.

This is a brilliant innovation that would improvise the operations and logistics of gas stations across Africa if embraced. The gas sector has been bastardized with a lot of abnormalities where sales personnel manipulate pump rates among others.

This innovation will bring about a parallel accountability for the company. As the records will come precise and concise.
