APC members and supporters of Senator Ahmed Tinubu, who was recently elected as the president of the country, gathered in Osogbo, the capital of Osun state, and in Iragbiji, Tinubu’s hometown, on Wednesday to celebrate his victory.
The supporters marched through some major streets in Osogbo, such as Oriolowo, Old-garage, and Olaiya junction, with great joy to celebrate the long-awaited victory.
In an interview with a journalist, one of the supporters named Adewumi Adesoji praised Tinubu as a trustworthy and experienced politician who can overcome political obstacles and challenges. She also described him as a compassionate and humanitarian leader who listens to the needs of the people and provides for them.
Adesoji urged people in the state, regardless of their political affiliations, to unite and work with Tinubu to make the country stronger.
Meanwhile, in Iragbiji, Tinubu’s hometown, residents and locals gathered at the palace of the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Rasheed Ayo Olabomi, to celebrate the victory of one of their own becoming the country’s president-elect. The town, which also produced the previous governor of the state, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, witnessed a large crowd in Oyetola’s home, who thanked God for Tinubu’s victory.
