The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, has secured victory in the presidential election in Sotoko State.
Atiku polled a total of 288,679 votes in the state to defeat his Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who had 285,444 votes.
Kabiru Bala, the state collation officer and vice-chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), presented the results in the early hours of Tuesday.
He said Obi secured 6,568 and Kwankwaso got 1,300 votes.
The presidential candidates of Accord Party (A) scored 115 votes, Action Alliance (AA) got 110 votes, AAC 128 votes, ADC 486 votes, ADB 1,105 votes and APGA 808 votes.
The candidates of APM secured 273 votes, APP had 219 votes, BP 126 votes, NRM 681 votes, PRP 324 votes, SDP 120 votes, YPP 175 votes and ZLP polled 208 votes.
Meanwhile, in Nasarawa, Peter Obi of LP won the presidential election with 191,361 votes.
The national collation centre announced the results on Monday night. Obi got the highest number of votes, followed by PDP’s 147,093, and APC’s 172,922.
The NNPP came a distant fourth with 12,715 votes.
The total number of registered voters stood at 1,899,244; accredited voters were 562,464; valid votes were 540,566, while 16,371 votes were rejected.
