Nigerian filmmaker and founder of the African Movie Academy Awards, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, is dead.
She was reported dead at St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos on Saturday, January 7th.
The sad news was confirmed by Zik Zulu, one of her associates, in a public statement. He wrote, “Our President, Peace has passed.
As of Saturday, she was reported to be in a coma at Saint Nicholas.
But now her family has confirmed her transition.
May the memory of her life be a blessing. Rest in peace, dear Peace.”
Also, her colleague, Obi Emelonye, confirmed her death on his Instagram page on Tuesday. He shared her picture and wrote, “Thank you and good night dada Peace. ????????????????”
