Grammy award-winning singer and energetic performer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known by his stage name, Burna Boy has opened up on his output, ‘Last Last’.
The African giant in a recent interview disclosed some interesting facts about his hit single ‘Last Last’. You would recall that Burna Boy in a tweet disclosed that the song has earned him more royalties than any other song he has released since beginning his career.
During an interview with Shopping For Sneakers, Burna Boy cleared the air on American singer, Toni Braxton taking a large portion of royalties from the single because he included a sample of Braxton’s ‘He Was not Man Enough’.
Recall that Burna Boy disclosed Toni Braxton earns over 60% of the royalties from “Last Last“. However, the top Afrobeats act in his new interview stated that people misunderstood what he meant when he said she takes 60% of whatever money comes from Last Last.
The globally recognized singer further explained that the respected songstress, Toni Braxton only takes home 60% of the part of royalties of the song, ‘Last Last’.Watch the video below:
