The speculations have now been confirmed. Ivan Perisic has now been announced as a Tottenham Hotspur player a few minutes ago.
The Croatia international has ended his chapter at Inter Milan after spending two consecutive seasons with them, being the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 seasons.
Perisic agreed to a two-year contract with Spurs last week and arrived in London yesterday to undergo his medical and the announcement of his signing was made this afternoon.
The 33-year-old is favoured by Antonio Conte and the board approved of Perisic joining Tottenham this summer. However, the player was only set on Spurs and not any other club.
The winger joined Inter Milan in 2015 from Vfl Wolfsburg in the summer that year. Perisic’s last salary was £150k weekly but by earning £5m annually, sure will be an increase in his wages.
Chelsea were also interested in Perisic but the player wanted only Spurs as he wanted to work with Antonio Conte ahead of next season. Chelsea was recently sold to Todd Boehly and the official announcement was released yesterday.
Perisic is seen as a player who carries a lot of experience in league-winning experience and also in the Champions League. The Spurs board are delighted to have him in their ranks and can’t wait for him to get started.
