The NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede bubbled with excitement today as Yinka Quadri, a veteran actor paid an unscheduled visit to the camp.
Mr Yinka, who had extensive conversations with the State Coordinator and camp officials expressed his commitment to national unity and continued coexistence, charged prospective corps members (PCMs) to accept their States of deployment in good faith because that is the way to ensure that the goal of the scheme which is national integration is not defeated.
“The initiators of the Scheme were thoughtful individuals with a strong sense of nationalism and patriotism. They, therefore, conceived the idea of NYSC where any Nigerian citizens below the age of 30 could get posted anywhere in the country and be regarded as an indigene”, he added.
He, therefore, encouraged everyone present to play their part in ensuring we have a better society.
Mr Ayodele Adegoke, the state coordinator, expressed his enthusiasm to host such an important person on camp and described his visit as timely. He appreciated the efforts of the screen legend over the years in ensuring quality output and encouraged all present to imbibe such a positive disposition to work.
