A Pakistani man has purchased a one-acre plot of land on the moon as a wedding gift to his wife.
The man named Sohaib Ahmed is a resident of Rawalpindi and he bought the lunar land in the region known as ‘Sea of Vapour’ at $4 from the International Lunar Lands Registry.
The documents of the land on the moon were sent to the couple at the home through the U.S. Postal Service.
Ahmed said he was inspired by late Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput to get his own piece of land on the moon. Sushant had bought a lunar land in the region of Mare Muscoviense known as the ‘Sea of Muscovy’.
His wife Madiha disclosed that her friends did not believe her when she told them about the unusual wedding gift given to her by her husband.
“At first, everyone thought it was a joke but then I showed them the documents and then they believed it,” she said to Samaa TV.
