U.S. President Donald Trump has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize.

The nomination comes after Trump brokered a peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates in August.

Speaking with Fox News, Tybring-Gjedde said, “For his merit, I think he has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other Peace Prize nominees.”

This makes it the second time Tybring-Gjedde has submitted a nomination for Trump. He first did it for the first time in 2018 following the US president’s summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

President Trump had lost the award to Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
