Comedian & Influencer Adeherself Released After Meeting Bail Conditions

Social media influencer and comedian Adeherself who was arrested by EFCC operatives for her role in alleged internet fraud has been released.

Recall the social media sensation had been arrested following a raid by EFCC operatives last month. Her release comes after she met the conditions set for her bail.

On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, Adeherself was granted bail of N500,000 by an Ikeja Special Offences Court in which she was ordered to provide two sureties with reliable means of income to be verified by the court.

The case had been adjourned by Justice Sherifat Solebo until August 5, 2020, for substantial hearing.

Adeherself had been in EFCC custody is facing a charge of possession of a fraudulent document.

EFCC counsel Samuel Daji revealed that the comedian was arrested following intelligence received by the EFCC on the activities of some young men allegedly involved in internet fraud in Lekki, Lagos State.
