Nollywood Star Nosa Rex Defends Funke Akindele Following Abuse Allegations [VIDEO]

Not everyone takes the idea of actress Funke Akindele being bashed by an aggrieved ex-staff lightly.

Actor Nosa Rex has come to the aid of his Nollywood colleague Funke Akindele Bello after she was called out her former staff, Cassandra Owolabi.

Nosa took to his Instagram page where he explained that the Jenifa’s Diary star is under constant pressure to give her best to productions, adding that she had helped him a lot.

In the 5-minute video clip, Nosa (who stars as Terwase in Jenifa’s Diary) said that people ought to be grateful when moving up in the industry.

According to him, Funke has bankrolled a lot of people and needs to be firm with them so that she won’t be taken advantage of.

He also said that she had every right to express displeasure if things don’t go her way as her money was being channeled into the production.

In this life, no one owes you anything. Especially for the entertainment industry, we are still learning. When we were younger, they said entertainment is big we didn’t understand. Now we do. Anyone who helps you one way or the other, thank the person no matter what happens. God will bless anyone that has helped me. It’s not because I know Funke Akindele or she’s my friend. I’ve never seen where someone who is putting their money in a project won’t have the right to vex. Do you have an idea how many people are on her payroll? If she isn’t firm, people would take advantage.

Funke is usually under pressure when she needs to air and that’s why she puts pressure on people. Funke edits scripts. What is due to you will get to you. Everything is time. Who are you to call people out in the industry.”
