Former vice president, Atiku Abubakar has called for the reform of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS),
Days before a Remo Stars player identified as Kazeem Tiyamiyu was allegedly killed by some SARS operatives who had allegedly pushed him out of their moving vehicle for asking them where they were taking him to.
In his tweet, the former Vice President stated that the reform of the Nigeria Police especially the SARS unit is long overdue.
He added that the police was created to protect the life and property of citizens and not to put them into harm’s way.

Meanwhile, there are ongoing investigations about the murder of Tiyamiyu as there are various reports giving an account of how the player died.
