The trial of 5G, the fifth-generation network technology, will be in Nigeria in three months before approval and rollout.
The announcement was made by the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) today in a statement made by Professor Umar Danbatta, Executive Chairman of NCC during the Mobile and Disruptive Technology (MoDITECH) Forum 2019 in Lagos.
Danbatta disclosed that the trial of 5G technology would help the commission to see its important features before approving it in the country.
5G technology coming to Nigeria would be is a most welcome development as it comes with unbelievable internet speed and would be widely embraced by citizens who are heavy internet users.
