Akegor Godbless Omamuyorwi, a suspected internet fraud kingpin in Ughelli, Delta State, has been arrested by EFCC Operatives.

Omamuyorwi was picked up on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, and it was learned that the 34-year-old is also a chief in his Agbaro community. His arrest resulted from a complaint from a Canadian resident who said she made a transfer of $390,950 to two different accounts in the same bank. She stated that she suspected foul play.

Investigations revealed that Omamuyorwi was part of a romance scam, with the alias Mr. Sheri Hunt, an oil worker in Milan, Italy. He deceived his victim by telling her that the money he sought was for medical bills, legal fees and diplomatic fees for a package he wanted to send to her.
