An Abuja high court on Monday dismissed a suit filed by Ladi Adebutu to contest the nomination of Buruji Kashamu as the PDP governorship candidate in Ogun State.
Kashamu, a senator representing Ogun east and Adebutu had been at war over the PDP governorship ticket of Ogun State.
In the suit, Adebutu asked the court to declare him the authentic candidate of the party for the March 2 governorship election.
The presiding judge, Ajoke Adepoju ruled in favour of Kashamu saying that although Adebutu had been nominated by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, the primary election where he emerged winner of the party’s ticket was conducted in violation of a subsisting court judgment.
