The Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has revealed some of the Federal Government’s plans for the Nigerians who are being returned to the country in the wake of the xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

Reports confirm that the first batch of returnees (187 in number) arrived in Lagos last night via Air Peace Airline.

Dabiri disclosed that they would be offered entrepreneurship programs so that they could start small businesses. Speaking further, she said that the returnees would be profiled so as to be provided with the kind of training they wanted to do.

The Bank of Industry will also be here to offer some entrepreneurship programs and some support to start a small business.

We will profile them and for those who want to get any training, they will decide what kind of training they want to do and the Bank of Industry will be there to provide it.Abike Dabiri-Erewa – pmnewsnigeria.com

She added that there were more names on the voluntary evacuation list and hopefully a second flight would arrive in Johannesburg to bring them.
